Identification Cards
To obtain a New Mexico Identification Card, a person must not have a drivers license in New Mexico. An original birth certificate (proof of identification i.e., Passport, Federal ID, Gov’t ID), social security card (voter registration card, w-2 , Military issued ID), proof of address (lease, rental agreement, gas, electric, water bill, checkbook) must be presented for ID card. Under 18 applicants do not need parental approval unless they are an organ donor.
