A manufacturer's statement of origin (birth certificate) and dealer's invoice must be presented for a first time registration. Boats and trailers follow the same rules and regulations as vehicles with regards to title transfers. Vin inspections are performed at Rapid MVD for out of state boats and trailers for a fee of $21.00 each. If an out-of-state trailer does not have a weight on the title, an official weight certificate will be required to be obtained (or other document with correct weight of trailer). Registration fees range with weight of boat and trailer.
